This was a memorable and great day (20th November 2016) to the National Association of Ihitte/Uboma Student (NAIUS) and the Local Government at large as the called for their first general congress since the institution of the association in the year 2002,.
In an opening speech made by the president Comr. Rotr. Keke Elvis he said "I and my Excos since our inauguration took up the affairs of this association having one goal in mind and that is to push up this association to the climax of other Association's envy and that's the more reason why we have to hold this general congress in order to call together people of like minds like the chapters (tertiary institutions and secondary schools, the advisory councils, the patrons and patronesses of the association to officially tell them we are ready and wholeheartedly willing to work for the association and also calling on good citizens for the Local Government who are willing to help the association to always come up"  He went ahead to list the series of event the national executives have shocked for the Association and the are as follows:
Sport festival
Cultural carnival
Xmas carnival
Youth violence and drug abuse eradication
My health, my wealth
Beauty pageant (Mr/Miss Ihitte/Uboma)
Women in education and gender equality.
